Over Achiever

The stats are in! Grayson is in the 75th percentile for weight and height. He is approximatley 18.3 lbs and 28.8 in long. He received an outstanding report card with TWO plus signs! A++! Way to go, son!

Dr. Nail was very impressed seeing him sitting up like a big boy on the table. He said he was very strong for a 6 month old and kept calling him his "michelin baby". He told me to enjoy the rolls on his legs because when he starts crawling they will start fading away. I said, "Dr. Nail, Grayson started crawling 2 weeks ago"! He just looked at me in shock and said, "You're kidding.....I've heard of babies crawling at barely 6 months, but I've never witnessed it in the flesh!" "We've got an over achiever on our hands, Mama." "Um..yeah, you don't have to tell me twice, doc, he's pulling up, too" I replied.

Speechless.

"I. Don't. Believe. It.", he stammered, "He has the developmental skills of a 9 month old!" A 9 MONTH OLD, PEOPLE!!

"No, really...I'll show you"! So, I placed Grayson on the floor and put his toy phone on the bench....and lo and behold, in front of God, Dr. Nail, and myself....Grayson stood up! We clapped and cheered and called him a big boy and he was just SO proud of himself!

He asked how Grayson was doing with the solid food and I told him "great" and that his appetite was growing more and more everyday. He said as long as he was fine with all the # 1's, no allergic reaction to any, we could start on # 2's! Now, if you've never gone down the baby food aisle, let me just say, # 2's are the "gourmet mushy foods". Things like: pineapples and glazed ham, turkey tetrazzini, and dutch apple dessert...how fabulous does that sound?

So, after all the compliments and applause, Dr. Nail walked out and in walked...well, I'm just gonna call her "Nurse Wonderful", because that's what she was, WONDERFUL! Nurse W. had 3 needles with Grayson's name on them and I was NOT looking forward to the aftermath. The way she talked to Grayson, you would have thought she was his Nana or Mimi! She was just SO sweet and amicable....they were best buds! She told me to lean over him and hug him while pinning his arms down...she kept on talking and humming...and then I saw Grayson flinch and just new he was about to start screaming. No. Nothing but a tiny little whimper and a pouty lip. What?! You've got to be kidding me!

This is Gray right after the shots!

Such a little man! Mommy was SO proud!

After the shots, we went over to our girlfriends house to play and show off our report card.

After a hard days work....getting shots, playing with his girlfriends, and taking a nap in Mamma's arms...

we loaded up and headed to Gloria's for some yummy mexican food.
There were two preggo's, Lindsay and Lisa, two babies and their Mommy's, Grayson, Grace, Michelle and I, and one Daddy! Kevin met up with us after work. The hostess stuck us in a corner wayyyyyy in the back. We didn't mind, we felt like V.I.P.'s with our own little corner!

What a wonderful day! Oh, and bonus for Mamma....Grayson slept till 10 a.m. this morning!

We use Dr. Nail too! Small world. Grayson is so precious....he needs to have a talk with Blaine about being in the 75th percentile (Blaine is in the 3% & only weighs 20 pounds!)
