I'll Give You 3 Guesses....

It's March 6th, the temperature has dropped 100 degrees in 45 minutes, there is snow on the ground, and the roads are closing.....guess where I am?
Chicago? Nope. Guess again. Connecticut? Uh uh. One more. North Dakota? ehhhhhh (buzzer noise) Give up??

I'M IN TEXAS, PEOPLE!!

And No, I am NOT freakin' kidding you!

Apparently, Meemaw Nature wanted to give you all a big ol' Texans welcome to spring. Welcome Ya'll!

It's funny, we got some random snow on Tuesday....no big deal. Then yesterday was 78 degrees and gorgeous. And now, it's 37 degrees and the ground outside is starting to look like a powdered sugar doughnut dropped in a glass of water. How is this possible, you ask? Welcome to Texas....where you can have a tornado in November and a wintry mix in mid April. You can't pack away your coats and mittens till you see the lightning bugs come out and hear the grasshoppers singing. And even though the traffic is coming to a staggering halt, don't think for a minute that Mr. Grayson is gonna slow down to watch the snow fall. Oh no! There's just not enough time in the day for all that this little man wants to do. There are too many cords to be found and windows to be licked. Yes, I said windows. I guess it's because they're so cold today...it must feel good to his tongue.

Our little guy is crawling EVERYWHERE, pulling up on EVERYTHING, and we're just starting to see the first signs of "cruising". For those of you not in the loop, cruising is when a child pulls up on some random object (a coffee table, perhaps), and then acts like they are walking a tight rope to another random object (in this case, Bentley, our dog) all the while, sliding their greasy little paws along the first random object. He is just SO proud of himself when he accomplishes his little escapades. He is very determined and will not let anything stop him from getting to his target.
Like the dog bowls...he can spot those suckers a mile away. They're the silver mirrored kind and he is just
O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D with them.

oooh...busted!

Poor Bentley, since the day we moved in to our new spacious crib, she has had her dog bowls moved a dozen times. We can't figure out a good place, out of sight from "cruiser", that we can leave them. We tried the master bath, but we don't want her thinking she can chillax on our new bedding anytime she pleases...so ixnay on that idea. Then we tried the laundry room, but Mr. Drools A Lot found them there, too.

Look Mom, I'm a puppy dog!

It's so funny, we can be in the living room a thousand miles away...(okay, let me just stop there and explain the freakin' size of our new place compared to the old "honeycomb hideout"...I know I'm a bit dramatic...A BIT...but, our new place is like hmmmmm.....Graceland)...so where was I...oh yes, we're in the living room and all of a sudden you see this glazed look fall over his face...."MUST GET MY HANDS ON THOSE SHINY ROUND THINGYS", he must be thinking....and, he's off! It's a mad dash to see who can get there 1st. If baby wins, there will be water everywhere. If Mama takes the lead, bowls go into hiding and he's off in another direction looking for a power cord or a rawhide. Sheesh...I'm exhausted!
