Happy Birthday, Mom!

Many of you reading this blog have met my mom, and some of you may even know her. But none of you have had the privilege of knowing her the way I do.

Adulthood has been an amazing journey, with one of the best stops being the point where my mom became one of my best friends. She has this amazing ability of just being there for me.

She is without a doubt, the strongest women I have ever met. Standing a mere 5 foot nothing, she can handle whatever life throws at her and usually will throw it right back. She's beautiful. She's graceful. She's histerical. She's My mom.

She's an amazing, christian woman and she's been my idol since before I can remember.

I can’t explain it, and I’m assuming some of you know what I’m talking about. I have tons of good memories growing up of taking special shopping trips, great birthday parties, playing dress up with her clothes and makeup (sometimes without her knowing), rearranging our rooms together, getting ready for special occassions, remembering family recipes, having her at every game/performance/etc., and a million other things. But two of my best memories I’ll hold forever in my heart, are having my mom spending my entire wedding day with me and seeing my little baby boy in his Nana’s arms.

It’s like he already knew that was going to be one of the safest places in the entire world for him. I’m pretty sure that when God was handing out intuition, he skipped over a few people and gave their doses to my mom. She just knows.

Mom - you have taught me everything I know about being a mom, and I thank God for you. I am so blessed to be the only girl in the world who gets to call you MY mom. I love you beyond measure.
Happy 50th birthday.....you don't look a day over 40!

That is so great...I thank God for my mom every day too. The minute Reese was born I felt guilty for ever having been mean to my mom:) Enjoy your mommas special day:)
