1, 2, 3, GO!!!!

One of my favorite things about watching Grayson grow up is seeing him make friends. Real friends. The kind of friends he will have always, even if time and place and circumstances separate them. The kind of friends he will grow nostalgic for when he thinks of his childhood...

Meet Grace

Miss Grace truly "graced" us with her presence last night. It was such a treat having our best little friend over for dinner and playtime.

Grayson has known Grace his whole little life. In fact, he probably spends more time with her than he spends with anyone else other than his Mommy and Daddy and doggie.

Here lately, I have really seen Grayson shine around her. I'm not sure if it's because she talks non-stop (she's very articulate with her words)and he's trying so very hard to understand what she has to say, or if it's his age and he's just learning how to play with others, but he has truly become a different little boy in a matter of moments.

The little boy who used to just watch, is now playing make believe, dancing, and running relay races with his sweet little friend.

They made up a game where Grace would say, "1, 2, 3, Go!" and he would run and jump onto the bean bag....then when he rolled out of the way, she would run and jump, too. They seriously did this for half an hour!!

He was just in awe of her!

He danced right by her side and even let her love on his doggie.

He now shares his sippy cups, his toys, his favorite boppy pillow, and his hugs.

(See how at first she was laying on it and then he scooted down beside her?)

He puts her on some sort of imaginary pedistool and treats her like the true angel that she is.

It's amazing to watch. Him with her. And her with him.

I love watching Grayson make memories -- his little legs running so fast, trying to impress his sweet Grace -- laughing and giggling -- the shadows and silhouettes of best friends, his very first. Cherished always. Racing into the bean bag and beyond.
