It's as if the heavens have opened up and poured down smiles, running bare feet and the end of summer tans. To say sunshine and hot, breezy days have been gratefully welcomed is an enormous understatement.

Our biggest complaint is that bedtime comes too soon and behinds have to be wedged off swings.

There's simply not enough hours in the day for all the running around barefoot in the grass, cooling off in the crystal clear pools,

and sliding and squealing that needs to be done.

Our yard has come alive with brilliant yellow butterflies flying around our water table

sneaking in the air conditioned house and scaring mommy half to death, and alfresco dinners allowing us to enjoy it all. Grayson notices the perfect blue skies, and belts out his own tunes while flying through them on his swings, carefree.

We have a monkey who can climb UP any slide he crosses paths with; a nature lover who spies every bug, bird and dandelion; a swinger who is self-powered high above us all;

and an explorer who inspects garden hoses, ants, and lawn equipment.

Oh summer, we love you.....but I must admit, I wouldn't be mad at ya if you gave us a few 90 degree days.
