You took your first shower with Daddy and you loved it!

You chowed down on some queso at Mattito's.

And decided the best things in life really are free! Yay for free icecream!

You acted silly with Daddy!

We went to see Dr. Nail for your 12 month check up. You weighed 23 lbs and are 30 inches long. He was happy to see you in the 50-75 percentile. He was also very impressed with your words and your walking. He told us to try and get rid of our night night bottle in the next couple of months but we could hang on to the sassy for a little while longer. You did patty cake and itsy bitsy spider for him.....such a smart little dude!

You wanted to spin his chair the whole time you were there. You would spin it and walk away and then spin and spin again!

Still spinning!

Miss Funny Nurse wasn't so funny after she gave you 3 shots....you decided you had had enough and it was time to go!

It rained the whole week! After a couple of days inside, you decided you needed to see your girls again. Such a playa!

After mommy saw Miss Missy Poo's frilly bow

she decided, "hmmmm, maybe we need a little girly girl baby sister.....what do you think, son?"

Photo Sharing - Video Sharing - Photo Printing - Photo Books

"Let me think that one over, Mom."
"I'll get back to you!"

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Like father, like son.......

Halloween Costumes in August

Choosing a Halloween costume is hard. Really hard. So hard, in fact, that you must begin the selection process in August. Quality baby super mega stores start stocking their shelves the first week of August knowing that the early birds (moms like me) get the worms (cute little costumes at cute little prices). The longer you wait, the harder it is to find "the perfect costume" in your little one's size. You are then forced to succumb to the Mega Halloween Superstore Warehouse that sets up shop late September in an abandoned electronic store and jacks their prices sky high because they KNOW you HAVE to have a costume........THAT COSTUME! The lines are usually out the door just to browse all their selections, not to mention the checkout lines.
A cute little pirate outfit that could've cost a mere $19.99, will now cost a mere $39.99!

Whaaaaaaat??? Yesiree, you read right!

So after much talk and consideration, Grayson has decided to become a "frog prince" in the hopes that his little girlfriends will become little "princesses".
So, this is what I found.

So cute, right??? I KNOW!

Diabetics beware....this next photo is SUPER SWEET!!!!

Now I just need to sweet talk his Mimi into sewing a cute little crown on the top to look a little something like this.

If you ask me, I think the little flirt just wants kisses and this would be a clever way of getting just what he wants!

Fun Friday

Grayson and I woke up this morning to cloudy skies, a soggy ground, and a note from Daddy.

I know, I know.....he IS the best!
I decided since we were up so early (8:30).....the kid usually sleeps till 10, I would attempt to make breakfast "Daddy style", which means scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes. "Mommy style" is a little different. I usually just pop a frozen pancake in the microwave or a piece of toast in the toaster and cut up some fruit.
I should've stuck to "mommy style".

"Do you like your eggs scrambled with cheese or with GLASS?"

After breakfast we decided to draw some rainbows.

That lasted for oh, ummmm 2.5 seconds.
We needed some real Fun with a capital F! So, we built a fort! I remember my brother and I making them every Saturday morning and we would play in them ALL day long. I'm not sure why this is SO fun.....but it is and Grayson LOVED it!

We gathered all our materials for building:
chair. check.
old quilt. check.
blankets for underneathe. check.
snacks and juice. check.

And this is our masterpiece!

We even had a sign.

And a watch dog, too!

Grayson thought it was so very cool that he could crawl out and back in again....and I must admit, it was fun!

After the new wore off (about an hour later), we, (mommy), decided to play dress up.
I grabbed Grayson's Halloween costume out of his closet (I'll blog about why we already have one later)and put it on him.

I just couldn't resist! I wanted to see how it looked on him and I needed lots of kisses. So I dressed up as a princess and kissed him all over and waited for my prince to come.
And he did.
Crown, throne, and all.

"Turn The Seat Around".....in my best Gloria Estefan voice

There comes a time in a young man's life when he must face forward. He must watch the road, instead of the back of the seat. He must make adorable faces as he smiles back from the rear view mirror. He must change the world one flirty-face at a time. He must play peek-a-boo and throw cheddar bunnies at the back of my head. He must kick the seat and make clever sounds as he waves to the trees from his throne. He must grow up and be manly.

*clearing throat*

Without further ado:

Ch-check it!
Oh ye-ah.
This is how we do.
