Thank you Spring....you are my favorite time of year. I'll take sneezing my head off and red, itchy eyes over rain and snow any day!

Last week, on one of our perfect days, we went with our very best friend to..........

The Zoo......for the first time ever and it was AWESOME!

We loaded up the wagon with a picnic lunch, and off we went. Exploring every single square foot.

and some kind of scary lizard!

It's ok baby, it's not real!!

We walked through a brand new aquatic exhibit

and got up close and personal with some cute little turtles

and some bigger creatures that were not so cute!

Grayson, you kept saying,"sooooo big" and Gracie kept saying, "ohmigosh ohmigosh". But your Mommies were so brave, they got up really close!

We stopped to rest and eat some lunch

for a bit and then went back to exploring.

I learned that you're just not that into lizards

and that's fine by me, son!

It was getting warmer and the Mommies thought it might be fun to get some ice cream....vanilla peach for Mommy, strawberry for you. Ya'll were sittin in your wagon, lickin away.....minding your own business, when Mommy drove you right off the curb. Your strawberry ice cream cup went flying in slow motion and landed upside down on the asphalt. You were so upset. Mommy was embarrassed and the crowd was laughing at your sweet pouty face. I marched right back in the ice cream shop and got a strawberry waffle cone (free of charge) and all was right with the world.

There's really nothing better than sitting in a wagon, getting chauffeured around, while licking an ice cream cone....is there?

We saw all of God's creatures:

Zebras

Dinosaurs

Seriously, have you ever seen anything as close to a dinosaur in this lifetime as a rhino??
God is so majestic!

The day was almost over and our adventure was coming to a close.....but we had time for one more snack...huh, Grayson??

Yes, my dear...those yummy treats are for the birds....not for Grayson's.

was with us the whole time.....he just didn't make a peep! Such a little angel!

Our next "first" of the month:

Notice anything different????

That's right!! No more baby bed!!

Photo Sharing - Video Sharing - Photo Printing
That's because we are a big boy and we now sleep in a big boy bed!

Thank you Nana and Pawpaw for our new big boy bed! We've slept in it for 4 nights now....perfectly. One of these days I will take down the tacky "black out blanket" and center the mirror......and paint the dresser....and paint the book shelf....and attach the headboard and footboard.....the list goes on and on.

A Month of First's: Part I

March has been a very busy month for us, little man.

It all started with our sweet friend, Mackenzie's, 3rd birthday.

She had a Candy land themed party and you and every other kid were in "candy heaven". We had so much fun playing games,

making candy necklaces,

and filling up our loot bag with, you guessed it,

C*A*N*D*Y!! Mommy's camera was standing on it's last leg, so the pictures were not too great, but you get the idea. Mackenzie's Mommy did such an amazing job on the decorations!!

Too cute! And she even sent us home with a brand new toothbrush to wash all the sugar off our teeth....good thinking, Mel!

Up next was Mommy's

birthday!! Wait a minute...something doesn't look quite right. Nana was trying to make Mommy feel younger by reversing the numbers. It didn't work.

You and Daddy bought Mommy the prettiest flowers in the whole world, her favorite, tulips! You also picked out the most beautiful Coach purse and wallet (also Mommy's favorite), for her birthday! Thank you!!

Jessi took Mommy to get an amazing pedicure and to a yummy birthday lunch. Then, later that night, Mommy's closest friends took her to eat at her favorite place, Genghis Grill.

We had so much fun!

Just the girls!!

Mommy had a delicious virgin pina colada and a big bowl (or two) of stir fry. Then, we all got a wild hair up our heiny and decided to get Mommy's nose pierced!!

Just picture it son, your Mommy 4 1/2 months pregnant, a 2 year old in a stroller, and 5 other crazy ladies walking into a tattoo parlor at 9:00 on a Monday night.

But it was fun, I tell you.....and it made Mommy feel younger.

And that's all that really matters.

Later that week, you went to your very first hockey game!!

And you LOVED it!! You kept shouting, "Go Hockey Go"!!!

Our seats were amazing! Daddy had some clients cancel on him, so he decided to take us instead....no sense in letting those pretty Stars tickets go to waste!

You stood SO still the entire game.....just in awe of it all.....the noise, the lights, the ice.....the Zambonie! At the very last second, we scored and went into overtime! Mommy decided it would be a good idea to call it a night, while we were still doing good, and head home.

The whole way home you said, "Go hockey stars go"....over and over and over.
