Square One

Sometimes things happen for no good reason. Or maybe they happen for a very good reason.

The house we thought we would be moving into this week, fell through, so now we are back to square one.

I was sad at first, but after a lot of crying and praying, I see things a little differently. We found out on Friday that we weren't getting the house and we needed to just get away from it all for a while. My mom and dad invited us to go on a road trip to Hillsboro, so that's just what we did.

After stopping for a diaper change and some yummy beef jerky, we were on our way. It was a gorgeous day, so of course we had to stop for a quick picture (or two).

We ate at the Black Eyed Pea, shopped till we dropped, and headed back to Nana and Pawpaw's house for some much needed weedin' and raking.

After all our chores were done, it was time for some climbing and bubble blowing.

Then we ordered pizza and had a Wii tennis tournament. It was so much fun and exactly what we needed! Thanks Nana and Pawpaw!!

We got home around 11 that night and slept in Sunday morning. We took a drive scouting out different neighborhoods, wondering where "our" house would be.

Grayson fell asleep in the car and when he woke from his nap, we ran into this:

Yessir, that's right! A circus right in the middle of downtown, with elephants and cotton candy and ponies! Oh, and did I mention.....a bounce house?? Grayson thought he was dreaming! Everything a little boy could ask for, at his fingertips!

We walked over to one of our favorite little tex mex restaraunts and enjoyed some yummy Dos XX and guacamole. We finished off the meal with an icecream sandwhich that was soooooo good, right Grayson?

It was a very long and somehow, very dirty day. We ended it with a nice, relaxing bubble bath and a cold sippy cup of milk.

I'm bummed for you guys, but like you said it happened for a reason... what the reason not sure yet, but you will find out soon enough. Looks like you guys made the best of the weekend off. If you need anything let me know. I hope my dad was able to answer all your questions!

Okay, when I first read this my heart sank for you! I remember when we were trying to move out here and our house in California fell out of escrow last minute. We ended up losing the house we were building. I was devastated! Little did I know that God had other GLORIOUS plans & moved us into a more perfect house! I know that He has a perfect little house for your sweet family to call home! I am excited to see the wonders He is going to reveal to you in the coming months! I love that you were able to get away and have what looks like an amazingly fun weekend! I am praying for the perfect house for you!

Missy, square one it may be...
but don't forget this step back could release the last piece of the puzzle. While it is upsetting, there is something better for You, Kevin & Grayson. Can that be explained, understood... maybe not right now! BUT God does not make mistakes, ever. There is something better in store for you...without a doubt. You are strong and beautiful and have an amazing family and friends that love you dearly! You are strong in your faith and there is always light after the storm. Sometimes there is a speed bump in life that you have to climb first before you can get to level ground. Hold your head up high and never stay down when you fall.
