for when he wakes,
he will move mountains.

Oh Mr. Bonaparte, how very right you are, er were...whatever.
Two weeks ago, this Saturday, before attending a princess and pirate party (pictures to follow), Kevin told Grayson that his "sassy" (pacifier) needed some extra sleep. He told him that big boys leave their sassies in their beds and when it's time to go night night, his sassy will be waiting for him.
Hesitant at first, Grayson finally gave in and chunked his beloved sassy back in the crib. A couple of high-fives and a sippy cup and we were out the door. I was amazed. We made it the whole way there and through the party without a sassy.
Happy birthday Miss Emma and Big Grace!

And sitting with his girls drinking a juice box like nobodies business. (This was a first for us...the juice box thing)

I have to stop and say that for the entire remainder of the party, our child was the one running around stealing sips from the forgotton juice boxes. I swear, he must've drank a gallon of juice.
But after all the juice and jumping

and the yummy cupcakes

he was still okay. No sassy needed.
So, we decided to go and get a big boy haircut. Our second one ever and it was very much needed.

We were on our way home and still no sassy!
We made it from naptime to bedtime without our sassy!! We are so proud of him! It has been almost two weeks and he's doing great.
It's funny, because it seems as though he knows that when he goes night night, he gets his pacifier. All we have to do is mention "naps" or "night night" and there he goes....he takes off running down the hallway to his bedroom to his crib. And as soon as we pop one in his mouth, he dives for his pillow. And every morning, without fail, I pick him up from his bed, say it's time for sassy to go night night, and bam! He plucks it out of his mouth and sticks his hand up waiting for a high five from Mommy.

Such a big boy!
Such a little dude!
P.S. The "two sassies" pic in the post before (Two is Better than One) is right before bedtime. He snagged the two sassies from his crib and took off running, only to be caught by Daddy two seconds later.
P.S.S. Grayson, you should never ever hide things from Mommy and Daddy....we are ALWAYS on to you and your mischeivious ways! :)

Ok, I have a dirty little secret...Blaine (will be 3 in June) still gets his "pappy" at naps and bed time. Bad, I know but he gets so sad and cries for it!!!!
Way to go Grayson! The "binky" needs to sleep....pure genius! I saw on Jon&Kate that they put the pacifiers in a box to mail to babies that needed them! :)
Such a big boy. I hope operation bye bye paci goes as well for us too! Looks like such a big boy a the party. :)
