It Didn't Stop There......

Oh no it didn't. Daddy was waiting for us back at Mimi and Pappi's. He said he tried to find parking that night to meet us, but it just didn't happen. So, after we bathed all the purple sticky off and read you your stories and sang the Bumble Bee song no less than 7 times....we were off to our new house. Just me & Daddy. At 11:00 at night. We were pulling an all nighter so that we could move in the next morning, July 4th.

There was much to be done, but 2 Red Bulls and 5 hours later we were back at Mimi and Pappi's trying to fall asleep. It felt like the night before school starting...I just couldn't sleep.....I was SO excited!

We were gonna sleep in our OWN house the very next night!!

After donuts and coffee, we were moving in!!

You were SO funny, looking at all of our stuff being lifted off the moving truck and into our new home.....you just kept staring and making sure everything was just as we had left it when we packed it so many months ago.

Your eyes were wide with delight when you saw all your old toys again....it's as if they were new again!

Miss Paige watched right along with you, her eyes sparkling at each new box just waiting to be opened. Her Mommy and Daddy helped us move in along with Mimi and Pappi and Nana and Pawpaw.

It was a long morning, but we finally (We meaning, Uncle Clay and Daddy, got it all moved inside). Pawpaw surprised us with a brand new, stainless steel grill and even broke it in and cooked us sausages and hot dogs!! It was delish!!! Mimi brought watermelon and cherries....it was perfect! Way better than pizza. (That's what your Daddy and I have always eaten every move-in day.....pizza. We've moved every year for the last 6 years.

I think I'm good for awhile!

After a long day of unpacking, Daddy and Mommy decided we needed a margarita to celebrate. It was July 4th, after all!!

We took Nana and Pawpaw out to dinner on the lake. Sounds fancy, I know. It wasn't. Just a hole-in-the-wall Mexican food place with good food and drinks and music.

We ate and enjoyed each others company and threw pennies in the fountain and made wishes and then called it a night. We were all in bed before 10p.m., watching fireworks out of our car window.

You didn't want to throw your money in the fountain.....you kept pretending to, but then you would put your penny in your pocket.

Good boy.

Mommy taught you well. Save your pennies. Pennies turn into dollars and dollars turn into dreams. Like your new house.

It used to be just a dream.
